When I had my surgery for Thyroid Cancer they put me on Cytomel and within a short time it made me nervous and I could hardly stop talking, back and chest pain. They took me off of it and had nothing till I had my Radioactive pill many weeks later. I felt awful and was dizzy and couldn't drive. Had surgery June 12th and got an Synthroid yesterday.
I woke up at night feeling I could hardly breath and took the medine in themorning and feel so nervous and cold hands. What causes it between those two pills. It is a Saturday and not a dr. is around. Can they give me something else. It is 112 mcg.

Hi Judiline welcome ~

I'm curious what dose of Cytomel they gave you? I've taken h u g e doses of it, down to 25mcg's to half that. love the stuff

I'd just ride out the medicine for a few weeks, things could get better. YES there ARE other T4 meds you could take. I cannot tolerate the generic, Levothyroxine while Levoxyl is much better
