what is the minimum recomended time for a kidney test when taking bendroflumethiazide. My wife has been taking it for 13 months without a test and it says in the leaflet that you must have regular blood and urine tests. She is taking it for blood pressure.

Every 6 months . But she should have been checked at least every 3 months at first. Make sure the Dr. does liver function test plus
Cbc's. I had to remind my Dr at one point too. We consumers must be proactive Most of the b/p meds carry significant risks. I developed anemia from one & had only been on it 13 days!!! Luckily ,I had had a full panel of blood tests from the month before so the anemia from the drug couldn't be denied. Fam
