Talking ?regarding thyroid nodules
I had the right half of my thyroid removed in July due to FNA that showed Hurthle cells. Now I am having pain in the left side. A ultrasound this past week revealed nodules on the left. I will most likely have to have another FNA. Isn't it very likely, that it will also show Hurthle cells, or is it common to have different types of nodules around the same time.

If there are hurthle cells on one side, they usually remove the entire thyroid, because they do spread, and sometimes mutate to a cancer that is a little tougher to treat.

Luckily, yours was benign. It could be that those other nodules have hurthle cells, and it could be something else, these nodules pop up with all sorts of things....let us know how it turns out.....
