Hello Everyone,

My endo has recommended thyroid surgery after 2 nondiagnostic biopsies of my nodule. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good thyroid surgeon in the Los Angeles, So. Bay, or Long Beach areas?

To my knowledge

there's only a few of us from So. Calif. who post on Thyroid board. (I'm 100 miles NE of LA) So asking us to recommend a surgeon is difficult.

Did your Endo suggest a surgeon?

Hi Sue,

Yes, my endo did recommend a surgeon, but he is a general surgeon, and I want someone who specializes in thyroids. I have a friend who recommended a surgeon down in San Diego, but I was trying to find someone closer.

You could call your medical groups local office to see if they have Thyroid speciality surgeons listed.

Or your Medical insurance (Blue Cross/ blue shield etc) themselves to see if they know of Thyroid surgeons
