First time posting here - I found a Dr. in Tampa that did a complete work-up on me and discovered that I am hypothyroid, my body is not converting T4 to T3. He also discovered that I have pernicious anemia and candidas albecans (Sp?). I have high blood pressure as well. Too young for this! Anyway, he started me on Armour but he told me at the same time that the beta blocker I am taking will block the effects of Armour. He is impossible to see and has cancelled the last 5 appointments. I get regular B12 shots for the anemia so I was at the office and told him that the swelling in my hands kept getting worse. He told me to split the beta blocker dose in half and take for 4 days and stop. Oh - he also has me taking a water pill and gave me a prescription for another water pill that is potassium sparing. I can't get a follow-up appt and I am getting really nervous! I just know if I find the right doctor, I can resolve these issues. Can anyone help?
