Endocronoligist appts - please read and contribute..

I have most lf my thyroid out when I was 18 due to non malignant tumor. Now 20 yaers later they found mulitple nodules via ultrasound after I came in with neck and ear pain. They advised two of the nodules look suspicious. I have an appt with endocronolgist Jan 8th. I know these guys are busy and I know that I'm not going to die in this amount of time however I want answers. I cant help but sit and think about all the possibilities. Is it normal to wait a month before seeing the endocronologist? Can you tell me what I should expect? Any advise or wisdom is appreciated. I need information from people who have been there cuz I have no idea what to expect. (other than a biopsy) I dont feel good and I'm full of anxiety. Please just give me your experiences so I have some knowledge of what to expect? Thank you!

Re: Endocronoligist appts - please read and contribute..

When I was endo shopping, I couldn't find one who could give me an appt sooner than 5 months out. I got in on a cancellation at 6 weeks, if I remember right. There aren't that many endos around, so you are actually luckier than most to get in that soon.

Sorry I can't help with your other concerns. My hypoT is simple and straightforward compared to your issues, so I don't know much about them.
