Lower back pain is actually a symptom of hypothyroid (being under medicated) but hyper and hypo symptoms do very often overlap. As per your other thread, if you could supply more details like your previous dose, your new dose, how long ago the change was made, what your latest labs were etc etc etc we may be able to help some more

I am one who gets sore all over, [here & there] whenever I increase or decrease my meds,...and when I 1st started taking thyroid meds, it seemed as if all of my muscles got tight and sore. I wasn't expecting that...and a lot of other unpleasant symptoms as well. It took a while, but they did eventually start going away. Right now I am decreasing meds and hurtin' again. [darn!]

I have seen others on here, [and other places too], say the same thing. I think some of us are just very sensitive to these thyroid hormone changes. Do make sure you keep your levels in check tho. And I hope you feel better soon.

Re: sore muscles and thyroid meds

I'm so glad to see a post about this.
When I changed from Synthroid to a generic armour (more natural)I felt really good then my right arm and right leg seemed affected: tight and hard to walk right. Now thankfully the right leg has improved, but the right arm/hand is trickier. I can hardly write a check. I started progesterone too to help me sleep.
