Fainting and hypothyroidism? I'm not finding much info on this subject when I search the web. Are these two problems related?
Actually I usually only faint completely or almost when I am just starting to come down with a virus. I'm a little concerned about this because one time I passed out cold and hit the floor face first. My tooth went all the way through my lip. For about an hour afterward, every time that I moved slightly, I felt like I was going to faint again. The lightheadedness always hits right as the nausea from the stomach virus first come on.
BTW, I can't afford to go to the emergency room when this happens, not an option because I don't have insurance and I'm a full time student. I take iron supplments every so often and I eat a lot of red meat. I'm 28 years old.
I have like this since I was a teenager.
Fainting with a virus, anethesia in hospital, also from allergic reaction to antibiotics.
I found out I was hypothyroid and have not had this happen as much since I was put on my thyroid medicine.
Sorry this happens to you also.
Please take care
