Why would Endo order this test?
I just recieved my labwork in the mail that my Endo ordered. I noticed a new test that I've never seen listed on the paper.

It is T4, Free, Direct Dialysis. The results say pending so I hope to have the results soon.

My question is..... What is the purpose of this test? What's this test going to show that Free T4 does not?

It is a free T4 test. "Direct dialysis" is just the method used to determine the level.

Oh ok. I've had free t4 tested before and it was listed as just that with results.
The fact that this said free t4 direct dialysis and it said pending, I thought it was something different.
