Re: looking for the best treatment for Hashimoto's
Per a naturopath I recently went to and a book by Dr. Karrazian (sp?). Iodine is a big no no. Also, they recommend eliminating gluten from your diet which I am unable to manage at this time. I have been on T4 for 4 years without too much success. I had a brief affair with Cytomel but the Doctor put me on 25 mcg (way too high) and I had heart palpitations, worse panic attacks etc. I haven't attempted the T3 route again although I am negotiating that with my new endo. at this time, but in small doses.
I wish you the best of luck. It's definitely a tough disease to deal with.
