I also may have to keep seeing the General Practitioner instead of finding a new endo because my co-pays for endos are $60, GP's are $25.
I'm slowly giving up hope of ever feeling better.
I can only offer a sympathetic ((((hug)))). It is unconscionable. Yes.
In my dd case her pcp was inept and would NOT refer back to the endo.
Took dd OFF of the endo prescribed Synthroid and prescribed levothyroxine telling daughter "there is no difference between them, they are the same." So dd is like, "then keep me on the Synthroid."
DD had to fight with the woman for one more visit with the endo that dxd her.
I understand what you are going thru. You get to save and save now and instead going on a nice relaxing vacation, you get to see a specialist every now and then. I hate it too.
Hope all goes well for you. You deserve to feel better. ♥
