Scar after lobectomy

Wondering if anyone can offer advice on my scar. I am five days post surg and I have to say the scar looks great. My doc said I could put what ever lotion I chose to on it. I have heard Aquaphor and Maderma are both good. Any advice on which one to use and when to start using it.

Re: Scar after lobectomy

In a week or two, after it's completly closed you can try nexcare scar guard strips while you sleep. They are good. The main thing is to make sure this summer to cover it with zinc oxide, and don't let it get any sun or it will be permanent as it is very sensitive.
