I've been on LevoThroid 0.50 mg. since January 19 of this year. Found a new endo who gave me a prescription for Nature Throid and found a compounding pharmacy and they put it in capsules. I am supposed to take 32.5 mg. of Nature Throid twice a day. I've been reading that you should transition from LevoT to NT slowly. I also read that if you break open the capsules you can take the powder sublingually to avoid reaction to the fillers and stomach upset. I broke open a capsule of NT this morning and took half of it at 9:00 a.m., thinking that I will take the other half around 12:00 p.m. to see how I react to it then work up the dose. Does anyone know about transitioning and taking NT sublingually if in capsule form?

I've never heard of it but don't see why it wouldn't work. I did have Nature-throid in pill form from the manufacturer and they did't work sublingually well because of all the cellulose they put in them, turned into mush and wouldn't dissolve.
Erfa from Canada seems to be one of the only ones out there that is very easy to take sublingually. From the right online pharmacy it's also generally far less expensive than compounded meds.
