Unhappy adrenals, thyroid and veins

For the past 5 months (since taking large doses of b12 which I may have an allergy to) I've been having a range of symptoms such as thinner skin, pulsating, twitching legs, aching muscles, joint pain and worse of all, veins showing all over my body, including under my eyes, my temples, my chest.... It's got to the stage I cannot look at myself anymore. I jump out of the shower and grab a towel quick. No more skirts, sandles and nice tops. It's high necked t-shirts and jeans

I have been found to have low cortisol from midday onwards. I'm wondering if this is causing me to have hyperthyroid (and veins). I would appreciate it if someone could look at my results and see if I could have a thyroid problem:
2007 - TSH 1.49 (0.3-5.5), Free T4 14.4 (9-25)
January 2010 - TSH 0.9, Free T4 14.2
February 2010 - TSH 0.6, Free T4 13.2

Cortisol am 17.8 (12-22)
midday 1.6 (5-9)
afternoon 1.4 (3-7
midnight 0.5 (1-3)
My DHEA was normal

Thankyou!

Re: adrenals, thyroid and veins

Interesting, as I was wondering the same thing recently. My thyroid is now under control but I have had consistently high serum am cortisol (22-25 range) and have noticed a definite increase in spider veins and bruising. I have veins EVERYWHERE, my legs, feet, chest, torso, etc. and its new..maybe in the past 2 years or so.

I don't know about the veins but that is interesting you both have them. It seems your tsh has gone lower but so has your Free T-4. I would say you are hypo, not hyper.(Hashi's).

Re: adrenals, thyroid and veins

Hi

I have the same problems tammyp. I have tested +ve for adrenal fatigue with low afternoon cortisol. My problems started about 4 months ago with hives then 2 months later i developed spider veins and prominent blue veins which have spread all over. I am now experiencing muscle pains. I think it is possibly related to adrenal fatigue and thyroid. I am now getting my thyroid tested. Have you had any more info on what is causing blue veins etc?

Thanks

Re: adrenals, thyroid and veins

I would be interested in finding out if the vein thing is thyroid related...I have a friend that has many symptoms of Hashi's and she has very "prominent" looking veins. I would describe them as weight lifter veins and she doesn't lift weights. Is this what you have or just bluish veins? Thanks for any info.

Re: adrenals, thyroid and veins

Hi Tammyp,
I am writing to you hoping for some answers. My daughter who is 22 years old is having the same symptoms that you posted in 2010. Did you ever find any help or diagnosis for your symptoms?

Thanks,
Veins
