Blood work results and what do they mean

I have had a battery of tests and I need help trying to understand what they mean.

The results are as follows:

Free T4 0.37
Tsh Ultra 17.839
T3 1.4
Thyroglob < 0.5
Anti Thyroid 855

I also had the Uptake done and after 24 hrs it shows 0.40 and and ultrasound that shows a
nodule 1.5 x 0.7 x 0.9 cm.

Can someone help me please.

Re: Blood work results and what do they mean

Based on high TSH and extremely deficient FT4, you're very hypothyroid and need replacement hormone. Is that total T3 or free T3? (You must add the lab range for each test when you post results.) Can't interpret that level without the range. But it doesn't matter too much. You're still very hypothyroid. The thyroid antibody result pinpoints the cause for your disorder as autoimmune. Have you been prescribed some hormone yet?

That nodule is very large and must be biopsied. Has that been scheduled? I'll let someone else comment further on that, since I have no experience with nodules myself.

Re: Blood work results and what do they mean

My advice is the same as above. You need to be treated for hypothyroidism, and that nodule needs to be biopsied.
