Im not on any meds at the moment. My ft4 is not in the middle or above the middle of the range. I dont have the numbers on me at the moment, I remember my tsh was at 3.5. I just though it was weird having my ft3 at the top on the range and my ft4 being on the low end of the range.
FT3 stands for free triiodothyronine and FT4 free thyroxine - these are the main thyroid hormones. "Free" in practice means "available for use" (most of the total hormones are bound to carrier proteins and "out of use"). It may be that your thyroid is producing too much T3 or your body may be converting T4 to T3 "too well". Without actual results and reference ranges it's hard to comment more
Hi! With a higher tsh like yours it probably means your FT4 is too low for you. T-3 toxicosis is what they call it usually when you have too high of a FT3. Sometimes Hashi's starts out like this. (low FT4 higher FT3) Sometimes they will give you a beta blocker if you have a high heart rate with it. Do you know the exact numbers?
I dont have the numbers on me. I have been doing some reading on the net. Do you think it is possible that the fT3 is pooling in the blood? Could this be a possibility?
I don’t feel that I’ am hyperthyroid.
