worst scenario ?

I know by now i have driven u all crazy !! Especially u MEEP AND TREEFROG !!! (((((HUGS))))

And i thankyou with all my being for all the info support and advice u have given me BUT i feel like i'm going crazy.
I cant sleep at night because of my stress and anxiety...i toss and turn with worry day and night !
I ask myself whether or not i should even be on thyroid medication.
YES i had symptoms, Yes i had elevated thyroid antibodies and still do, YES an ultra sound of my thyroid was not "normal"...BUT all my other thyroid levels WERE normal. I know this is common..alot of ppl have normal thyroid tests and are indeed sick and need medication.
COULD MY SYMPTOMS HAVE BEEN SOMETHING ELSE ?
The last few months have just been SO BAD and it could b because i was OVERmedicated and it could b because of something else..BUT I KNOW...the medication had ALOT to do with my weakness and HORRIBLE bed ridden symptoms.
MY question is this.....HAVE i dammaged my thyroid by being over medicated for so many months ? ( if that is the case?)perhaps i am still undermedicated GRR I DONT KNOW..but i doubt it.
Have i dammaged my body ? WHATS the worst case scenario if i am NOT supposed to b on this medication ?

At this point i am so horrified at my experience ..because words cannot explain what i have just been through...the thought of trying DHEA and testosterone makes me feel SICK and SO SO SO STRESSED...i dont want to...even if chances are it may help.

Re: worst scenario ?

Hi little,

Please be assured of this... I am personally against over medicating.
I don't like pills and I don't usually think pills are a solution to health issues. I don't take pills lightly!

BUT, in this case, not only are these very much needed hormones, if your body can't produce what you need, you do NEED them to be healthy.

NO, they are not harmful to try.

I personally think you have not reached your optimum thyroid level. That is just my opinion.

If I remember right, your doctor wanted to try a higher dose of thyroid, so he is not satisfied that you have reached your best dose yet, either. If he sees that it has gone over, he will reduce it.

No, this process of trying doses will not harm your body.

Please also take B 50 or 100 complex daly, to feed your nerves, which seem to be pretty stressed out. <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif">
I know this is confusing. But it won't harm you!

Did you ever get the book, The Thyroid Solution? I think reading it will calm a lot of your fears.
Love, TF

Re: worst scenario ?

Hi little,
These aren't steps backward...they all lead to finding the right dose for you!

You can't overdose on B, as what is not used washes out of the body daily. You can take it twice a day, and it does not interact with thyroid. I take calcium 8-12 hours later than my thyroid. Four hours is sufficient, though.

You are doing good! Try to relax now, sweetie.
Love, TF
