Do I have enough symptoms?

I have some of the symptoms of thyroid disorder, but not all of them. I have irregular periods(I usually skip about 2 or 3 months), cold intolerance and low body temp, hair loss, mild weight gain, and memory loss. I do not suffer from depression, joint pain, fatigue, muscle weakness, or heart palpitations. I went to a docter and the test came out neg. Do I have enough symptoms to be concerned and be re-tested?

Re: Do I have enough symptoms?

Hi christen,
Please read our stories and the Information Archive topic for lots of info that can answer your questions.
Yes, you may be hypo and have so-called negative test results. But you need a doctor that listens to symptoms. One may have any, all, or the reverse (hyper) symptoms and still be hypo.

You need a doctor that really understands thyroid and most don't. Do you have any test results? If not, you need a copy of the test and we would like if you posted it here.
