block and replace treatment

Hi all,I am currently using block and replace for hyperthyroid and wondered is there anyone out there that has stopped taking the drugs and there thyroid has'nt gone back through the roof.

Decided to answer your post although I'm only taking anti-thyroid meds.

I do know of someone who did Block and Replace and they were still in remission 9 years after discontinuing the meds. Although if I remember correctly, she continued on a low dose off thyroid hormone replacement for a couple of years after dropping the ATD.
