Welcome disclosure. Actually, a "ruddy" or reddish complexion is a symptom of thyroid disease, but typically is associated with low thyroid function rather than hyper. Your nose may be a symptom of something, or it may just be a way your body uses to cool you off. (There are many blood vessels in the nose, so they dilate when we're warm).
