guggelsterones

Companies who sell supplements claim that studies show that guggelsterones convert T4 to T3. I haven't found much information from anyone except the companies that sell this. Has anyone heard of it or tried it? Thanks.

Re: guggelsterones

Hi ajm. Haven't tried them, but guggulsterones and other fat-burners/metabolic enhancers are generally not a good idea for people with thyroid disease. I believe it's generally better for us to balance our hormones medically. Altering the body's metabolism when it's already off-kilter can affect other areas (adrenals, etc.) and make it harder to recover when we stop taking the supplements.
