Welcome nuttysissy. I did a quick internet search and, apparently, there is a genetic link between pernicious anemia and thyroid disease:

(see the 3rd and 4th bullet points under "What are the Genetic Links in Thyroid Disease?")
Are you getting adequate B-12 supplements (pills or shots)? And are you happy with your doctor(s) and treatment? Glad to hear that your stress (thallium) test came out okay -- your chest pains may be due to a heartburn side effect of the pernicious anemia, but I'm not a doctor and I really don't know enough about your symptoms, etc. to fathom a guess.
Any specific questions you need addressed? I'm not too familiar with chest pains being linked to hypothyroid. (It is more commonly associated with hyperT).<p>[This message has been edited by ArtfulD (edited 04-11-2002).]
thanks artful for responding.
i have b-12 injections once a week and i feel so bad even with synthroid and all the other meds.
my chest hurts 24/7 now for 3 weeks .i dont think its my heart but thanks for the links ill check into them .im wondering if maybe it might be my adrenals or parathyroid glands.dont know but getting aggravated at pain. thanks so much god speed
I too am experiencing some of the same things that you are going through. I have had Hashimoto's since 1995 and since then, off and on, I have experienced times where I have chest pains, irregular heartbeats, headaches, muscle aches, signs of hypoglycemia, tired,
nervousness, and trouble sleeping. In early March I had strep throat and an upper respiratory illness that took forever for me to get over even with antibiotics and since then I have been left with all of those symptoms listed above, especially chest pains. In late March I had a complete physical with my family doctor and all of my blood tests and urine tests came out just fine, including my TSH which was 4.275 but he didn't do any tests on adrenal glands. I have read a little on adrenal glands and am beginning to think that it might be my adrenals but don't quite know how to approach my doctor to test them, without him thinking I'm a big hypochonriac. Just letting you know that you are not alone and I will surely let you know if I find out anything.
hi,thanks for responding, your symtoms sound like they came from me.i have the exact same ones .i dont know about anyone else but i am sick to death of feeling tired 24/7 and if it couldnt get any better pernicious anemia messed my tummy up now go wensday for scope to have polyps biopsyed again.
but my chest is what hurts so bad right now ,when it hurts i get severe headaches. thanks god bless, lisa
