| Hormones and hypothyroidism
After a hellish year trying to unsuccessfully tolerate Levothyroxine, my gynecologist got tired of my requests for more testing, etc. and sent me to an endocrinologist. He said my TSH results could have been the result of other menopausal hormonal changes and that I could likely not be hypothyroid at all. Took me off Levothyroxine cold turkey and after 8 weeks my new TSH level is 1.32!!
Hope those of you going through menopause will get a second, expert opinion before you suffer through drugs and all of the other changes!
