| Re: advice on vitamins
I also gave some advice in your other post on vitamins. First too much of a good thing can be toxic when it comes to vitamins. Before you start an extensive vitamin supplement regime test your starting levels. That said thyroid sufferers are frequently poor absorbers of vitamins so supplementation should help you. Just get the blood work done first.
If the vitamins you listed. You have to beware of calcium supplements. You need good D levels for optimal absorption of Calcium and iron. In addition Calcium carbonate blocks absorption of thyroid medication. You will need to take Ca 8 hours before or 4 hours after your thyroid supplementation.
Good luck! Hope things get better soon.
I supplement with an active men's multivit and a super b complex and calcium and vitamin d and magnesium.. Think I got them all. I was deficient by blood results before starting these meds. I get my levels checked every 6 months to make sure I am taking the right amount of vitamins.
Hope this helps.
