My eyebrows fell out--I didn't touch them. In fact, I avoided touching them as much as possible. They were red and itchy, and I knew it was because of thyroid.
It has subsided now because it has happened to my left eyebrow before. This time, it happened to my right eyebrow.
It is rather sparse now and I am quite upset. I am wondering, has anyone experienced regrowth who has had the SAME experience (eyebrow hair just falls out).
My left eyebrow is a bit better after a year, but my right is quite bad. I am really sad about this, and I feel my mood plummet to my feet every time I look at myself in the mirror.
Your eyebrow loss doesn't sound like the typical kind experienced with hypothyroidism. Usually only the outer third of the brows is lost, on both sides at once, and it isn't associated with redness or itchiness. There are skin conditions that affect the brows, and they could produce redness/itchiness and hair loss. Have you ever run it by a dermatologist to look for other causes?

The outer third is lost...it is so strange, and it is very sparse now. Thanks for the help!
