Sorry for the reason you're here but, glad you found us.
The fact that your mother has hypothyroidism predisposes you to having it.
Please know that TSH > 2.0 is not normal but, indicates hypothyroidism.
TSH is a pituitary hormone - you really need to see what's going on with your thyroid hormone levels to confirm/rule out hypothyroidism.
You'll want to get the following tests:
FreeT4 (T4 or thyroxine, free, direct)
FreeT3 (tri-iodothyronine, free, serum)
Levels in the normal range do not mean they are appropriate so, once you get the results, you can post them here and we'll be able to tell you whether or not you are truly dealing with hypothyroidism. (it sounds like you are)
