| Added TR T3 - Hardly Any Change in FT3?
My wonderful doctor (wonderful because he is looking at FT4 and FT3 as well as TSH) has me on:
name brand only Synthroid 88 mcg
2 pills/day 5 mcg each of timed-release (compounded) Liothyronine (T3)
I have no thyroid. It was removed.
After testing and taking T4 and the two T3's for 8 weeks (after having no T3 supplementation at all), my FT3 levels barely budged?! The FT3 went up .1 I think?
All I could think of is that the calcium supplementation I am taking, one Viactiv with lunch and one with dinner are preventing absorption?
One of my compounded T3 pills is taken first thing in the morning before food or any supplementation whatsoever. Any ideas why my FT3 barely budged with T3 supplementation?
My doctor said to up the T3 to (2) 5 mcg pills in the AM, and one in the PM for a total of three pills/day instead of two.
Why wouldn't the T3 pill do anything for me? This is weird.
