My 25 year old daughter called to say dr found nodule on her thyroid. I skyped with her and saw it. Looks moveable, about 2 fingers wide or so. Said she has had it for a while. Any one with any experience with this? She is going for a f/u testing.. Please help.....
Benign thyroid nodules are very common growths on the thyroid. She needs an ultrasound, and if it is around 1 cm or larger, they can do a needle biopsy. Then it will be watched over time for changes and/or growth. Many people are walking around with these and don't even know it. 85-95 percent are benign.
