Angry So confused!!

I have been experiencing many symptoms including cold hands and feet, hair loss, dry skin, etc. for the last 4 months. My results were TSH = 2.6, T3 = 2.1, and T4 = 0.68. My doctor said I'm normal. I dont feel normal???? Can someone still have thyroid issues with T3 and T4 levels on the low end of normal. I am starting to think i need to go to a new doctor??? Please help.

Re: So confused!!

Hi and yes! your levels are too low. What most docs say is "you're normal" because you're still in the "range" (do you have the ranges?) What they don't understand is MOST people don't feel well if their levels are too low in the range.Especially if you're a younger woman. I would try going to another doc who might be more open minded. you can do a search for top thyroid docs or ask a pharmacist which docs prescribe Armour thyroid meds. They tend to be more open minded about thyroid disease and more apt to treat and run the right tests. Your symptoms are classic hypo.

Re: So confused!!

Thank you so much Bran'sNana. That is exactly what I thought. I just cant believe my doctor is being so closed minded about this. From what I've read, i guess this is common. I am going to try to find a doctor today. I'll keep you updated.
