| Hashimoto's Thyroiditis Treatment HELP!!!
I have weight gain, hair loss, joint pain, sensitive to cold, and more symptoms.
My test results:
TSH = 2.21 mIU/L (.40 - 4.50) Normal
Total T3 = 198 ng/dl (76 - 181) High
Free T3 = 3.1 pg/ml (2.3 - 4.2) Normal
T3 Uptake = 19 % (22 - 35) Low
Total T4 = 15.5 mcg/dl (4.5 - 12.0) High
Free T4 = 1.3 ng/dl(0.8 - 1.8) Normal
T4 index = 2.9 (1.4 - 3.8) Normal
TPO AB = 268 (<35) WTH !?!?!
Vitamin D 33 ng/ml (30-100) Low
My Dr has ordered a recheck of my blood work in 3 months and an Ultra Sound of my Thyroid. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's yesterday but my Dr. said there was no treatment options until my TSH is above 8. I feel like there must be something that can be done to correct the immune disorder instead of waiting for thyroid failure.
