Question surgery scheduled!
I have asked around and talked to several local health professionals who have had thyroid surgery and have decided to stick with my first choice for a surgeon. My surgery date is 7/6/12. Although I've had surgery, this will be the FIRST time (as an adult) having surgery at a hospital (my sinus surgery was in the surgery center for day surgery). And I simply hate hospitals. I am so not looking forward to this!
Tomorrow I have to inform my employer...that should go over like a ton of bricks.
For anyone who has had this surgery, I drive all day long (between 30 and 200 miles a day). Knowing this, how long do you think it will be before I can safely return to work?

The thought of someone cutting on my neck scares the daylights out of me. I so wish he could have fit me in right away...the longer I think about it, the more scared I become!
Sorry you are having trouble with your weight. Me too. I was hoping that once I have the thyroid operation it will level out....my weight gain is out of control.
