Husband has Hashimoto's but something else is also going on in his body which were are trying to identify but lately he has been hearing voices which wake him up at night & we have also had conversations in which he got mad at me because he claimed I said somethings that I never said-which is hard to argue my point when he believes I did. I feel like I have to tape our conversations to prove a point to him. Has anyone had this going on? I know the voices thing is really starting to freek him out and I think it's happening more often than he's saying. Monday we will be addressing this with the doctor but I just wanted to see if anyone else had something similar.
It isn't likely this would be related to Hashimoto's or hypothyroidism... Although, there is a rare condition where the same Hashimoto's antibodies that damage the thyroid gland can affect the brain. It's known as Hashimoto's encephalopathy.
