Re: what do very high thyroglobulin antibodys mean 17 year old
Hello Welcome to Thyroid Board
Very high Tg Ab indicates Hashi's. Hashi's is the most common cause for hypoT with young people too.
Her TSH still looks fine but she should get free thyroid levels (FT4 and FT3 too if possible) checked to get a better picture, total T4 just isn't accurate (especially with females).

It means your immune system is attacking probably gluten thats escaped and also your thyroid. It means also you have possibly leaky gut/inflammation and need to go strictly GF and maybe dairy free diet. Its serious stuff. Its an auto immune disease. Also look into LDN therapy which is awesome.

Finn is right. Both lab results are low. I know when my were low I felt horrible. I have hashi's too. Most of us feel better with a low TSH and higher Free T's. At least in the 75% range.
