| Anyone familiar with hypoparathyroidism?
Hello-
I recently got some labs done by my primary. Everything was normal except creatinine and parathyroid hormone. Creatinine was 1.15 H (I think range stops at 0.97) and parathyroid was 4 L (10-65). However, my calcium was normal. Apparently, the ionized calcium level is the one that's supposed to be measured instead of total. Is it possible for the total to be normal and the ionized low? I'm just wondering if the parathyroid levels are something to even be concerned about? My primary said all it does is regulate calcium levels. Any info about hypopara would be awesome. Thanks.
