Does this look 'normal'?

T4 - 6.2
T3 - 32
Free Thyroxine - 2
TSH - 3.67

I have weight problems, lost 1/2 of my hair, puffy face, thinning brows, dry skin, sleep problems, and high blood pressure.

Re: Results

Hello Welcome to Thyroid Board
Do you have the reference ranges for these? Normally TSH level that high would be on the hypothyroid side but your FreeT4 result of 2 is a bit confusing - unless it's really free thyroxine index that really has very little to do with your actual free T4 levels (posting those ranges would be helpful ). Your T4 ie. total T4 looks pretty low so that would be consistent with hypothyroidism, that T3 result probably isn't any "real" T3 measurement but T3 uptake. Free thyroid levels (FreeT4, direct and FreeT3) are the most accurate measurements of thyroid function.

Re: Results

Hi there,
Thanks for responding, its so confusing...

This is what is 'actually' says

Thyroxine (T4) 6.2
T3 Uptake 32
Free Thyroxine Index 2
TSH 3.67

Have just felt 'off' for awhile now and have weird symptoms so I had some bloodwork done. But everything came back within the ranges listed, like there is nothing wrong, except for BUN/Creatine level was a bit higher than than the range listed. I need to drink more water daily.

Re: Results

Thanks for the clarification Didn't you get the ref. ranges to compare these results to? It would really help if you had those "real" freeTs tested - I bet they're on the low side (going below the range before getting treatment is actually pretty rare), getting a second opinion (or third, or fourth) is often needed to get treatment. Also if you got thyroid antibodies (TPO and Tg Ab) tested and they'd come back positive (= Hashimoto's thyroiditis) that could also be helpful.
