Smile unsure of when to take medication

I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the end of my senior year of h.s. so I of course being a teenager stopped taking my medicine for a weeks at a time. It's only been a year since then and I tried taking my medication at night but I would forget. I then tried setting an alarm every morning for the same time-took it and went back to sleep but I'm a college kid- sometimes I don't have to be up until very late in the afternoon and others very early so I stopped that as well. Now I just take it as soon as I wake up. Any opinions/facts would be helpful.-A very unaware teenage girl (I also take my blood work and it comes back fine so I wouldn't say it's affecting me)
