Decrease in Thyroid Peroxidase level

Hi all,
About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimotos when my Thyroid Peroxidase level was about 265 and TSH was about 6 or 7. I was put on Levoxyl and my TSH levels have now become within a range that my Endocrinologist is happy with. Recently I had to go to an allergist and she had me get blood work done which included Thyroid Peroxidase (Tpo) Ab. I just looked at the results online and it now says that my Thyroid Peroxidase level is 88. What can cause this decrease?
Sorry if it is a stupid question but I thought that Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease that will never go away and the purpose of the medicine is to put the hormones in my body that my Thyroid isn't making.
I am not scheduled to see my Endocrinologist for a couple months and I am too impatient to wait to talk to her so I was hoping someone here could help.
THANKS!!!!

Re: Decrease in Thyroid Peroxidase level

Any autoimmune disease, including Hashimoto's, is subject to periods of remission and reactivation according to antibody activity which can fluctuate constantly. But the damage that the Hashi's has done to your thyroid gland will never go away, thus you'll need to replace its hormone for the rest of your life.
