Is this Hashimoto?
Hello,

Could you please help with my results?

TSH=4.49 mUI/L (0.35-3.50)
FT3=4.8 pmol/L (3.4-6.8)
FT4=17.4 pmol/L(11.0-22.0)
TPO=9 (0-34)

I felt very tired and lost lots of hair. My family doctor told me that anything till TSH=8!!! doesn't need tratament. :shock:

1.Can somebody read my results for me ,please? Is this Hashimoto?

2.I'm trying to conceivei,s a good idea to take some kelp? In my prenatal vitamins there is 220mcg iodine. Should I stop them?

It doesn't look like hashi's. Your tsh is a little high but your t3and 4 are mid range slightly low. Your Tpo is normal. A good indicator of hashis is very high numbers of antithyroid antibodies. Which at this point you do not have. When did you have the tests done. I would wait 6 weeks and get retested. You want to get at least tsh, free T3, free T4, TPO., antithyroglobulin ab. And maybe a total T4. Also do you have any thyroid enlargement?

Oh and don't stop taking your vitamins! Iodine is very important in the production of thyroid hormones.

You might also want to look into pituitary dysfuntion. How long have u been ttc? Have you had a hormones panel done as well, specifically prolactin?
