Question Thyroid antibodies

Can anyone tell me if I get my antibodies decreased can I come off medication or what does it mean?

Even if you can decrease your thyroid antibody levels, the damage they have caused to your gland is permanent. You'll need to take supplemental thyroid hormone for life to replace the natural hormone your own gland can no longer make.

There are two antibodies which can damage the thyroid gland - anti-TPO and anti-Tg. You might be able to reduce the TPOs by taking a daily selenium supplement, but it will only reduce them by up to 40%... Not eliminate them entirely. There is no known way to reduce Tg antibodies.
