Support group for wives/husbands?

Hello all, I'm looking for an internet based support group for my husband... sounds strange I know because he's perfectly healthy, it's me with the crazy thyroid. Trouble is, it's really getting him down and he has been saying recently that he has no-one to talk to about it. We have the same friends and he can't really offload without feeling like he's being critical of me (and my illness). He's having quite a hard time with it all to be honest and I thought it would be nice if he could have a place to moan and get support from others in the same situation.

Does anything like this exist? Or would any other partners be interested in it?

Sam x

I don't think it's strange at all and makes perfectly sense to me. I'm not sure whether anything like that exists, could be very useful I think. If it does, I think I might send mine there too.

Re: Support group for wives/husbands?

Thought I found one on facebook but us patients have hijacked it :P. Will keep looking and report back if I find anything.

I think it would be good, my hubby can't be the only one out there suffering. I suppose it could throw up problems for some people, If they feel their partner isn't being supportive by moaning. Thing is, sometimes they need support too. I'll be the first to admit, I'm not an easy lady to live with, especially when I feel ill.

Re: Support group for wives/husbands?

I'm with you on this one. It's not easy for them too and I think they might bump into the same questions/frustrations/problems. If nothing else it's frustrating to see a loved one suffer.
I think a board would be better instead of a facebook group, I think it being anonymous might be/is important
