Anyone know of good doc in Portland OR for nodules and low FT3/FT4?

Anyone know of good doc in Portland OR area for one or both? Do docs deal with both or do I have to see separate docs for each? I've gone through 5 so far with no luck. Thanks!

Re: Anyone know of good doc in Portland OR for nodules and low FT3/FT4?

It never hurts to get a second opinion when dealing with nodules. I see two. An integrative medicine practice internal medicine md for blood work and management of supplement levels and an ENT for ultrasounds and FNAs as need of the nodules and eventual removal of the blasted pain in the neck. My ENT follows my blood work and always weighs in with watch this, possible try this, etc..

Given your history and the nodules I would call about and ask local ENT practices if they perform FNAs in house? How many days a week? Who performs the procedures? How often do they perform thyroid surgeries. My ENT is one of five. He performs FNAs and ultrasounds one day a week and then surgeries another. So two days are dedicated for the most part for thyroid care and concerns. This is good indicator that the ENT is thyroid savvy.

If you get a good ENT they may be able to commend a good GP or IM for managing the blood work. Some are willing to manage it themselves.

Wish I had a name for you. I can only give you some ideas on md hunting strategies...

Good luck!
