Only half a Thyroid and feel v unwell
Hi there,
I have been unwell for some time including, limb weakness, extreme fatigue, breathing probs, milky nipples, severe neck pain and head tingling where I cannot touch my scalp, neck rash, face and clavical bone on/off swelling, nervousness, thirsty, tingling in face, sore mouth, bowel problems. This started ovver 2 yrs ago and has slowly progressed to having a terrible effect on my life. This was just after menopause or at least when periods stopped.
Neurologist has diagnosed me with conversion sydrome basically cos he doesnt know what is wrong with me (didnt even do a full Rombergs test which I have failed continuously - he was seeing me to give a second opinion --- for his boss.....mmmm he hardly bothered with me and defo biased).
Had lots of blood tests and scans...awaiting lung test. THEN....I was advised I only had one side of my Thyroid. They are presuming I was born that way.
Should they not check if that is the case or if it has deseased away?
I have all the signs of Hypothyroidism but my TSH and T4 T3 boods showed within normal range.....so another battle I guess with the docs.
Anyone else experiencing the same or can help/share?
I really hope someone else out there can offer some advice/
Thank you for reading.
