Your high TPO is just an indication of the reason why you're hypothyroid. There isn't much you can do about these antibodies, and the treatment for the resulting hypoT is the same as it is for hypoT due to any other cause.
I'm surprised your doctor ran the test this long after diagnosis, actually.
