Hashimotos Advice?

I have been taking cytomel but my Dr moved out of state and thanks to this board, found a doc in my area that will let me try Armour. (that I have wanted to try for months..) I never felt like the cytomel got my life back to complete normal. Still exhausted all day, after a full nights sleep.

My recent blood work said the cytomel has me level but I don't know how since I don't feel so great.

My question is, my new Dr appt., to ask for armour (he's known to give it..) is in a week. Do I stop taking the cytomel? Or, keep at it till I switch over?

Thanks so much

Re: Hashimotos Advice?

I'd say keep taking it until then. No doubt the new doc will want labs to see what your current regimen is (or isn't) doing for you. Staying on it till then will give him the most accurate picture.

I hope the new MD will be everything you wish him to be. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Re: Hashimotos Advice?

You should probably keep taking it, but do not take your dose the day you get your blood draw until afterwards.

Re: Hashimotos Advice?

Thank you both so much! I'm fairly new to all this. But not all the nightmarish symptoms. :/
I just had lab work done and my T4 was normal but my T3 too low. It's crazy since I sure don't feel much better?!
Thanks again
