Thyroid

I have no thyroid due to cancer and am having a hard time keeping me feeling good. Im fatigued, achey, and always tired. Joints get really sore or inflamed. Just wonder if anyone has had their thyroid removed and is there something else I can do. I have my levels checked often and they are up and down. We tweek my meds and it lasts a few months then i'm back to feeling lousy. My TSH level is 0.82. Help Please!

Re: Thyroid

Hi there! When you say your levels are checked, is this only tsh? You might need T-3 along with your Synthroid type med, if your FT3 is low. Do they ever check that? Are you on a pretty high dose but still feel lousy? That can be a clue you need an additional med.
