Unhappy Thyroglobulin 2nd gen levels high
My doc recently found my thyroid is enlarged i have ultrasound tomorrow but bloodwork was already completed and the results are this:
Thyroglobulin Ab,ECL. 13. Normal range « 20 iu/ml
Thyroglobulin 2nd generation. 7.61 Normal « 0.05. - High
Free thyroxine. 1.2. Range. 0.7-1.8 ng/dl
thyrotropin(tsh) 1.6. 0.4-5.5 MIU/L
Free T3. 2.8. 2.3-4.2 pg/mL

Any thoughts on the 2nd gen levels and of i should have any worries

As far as I understand thyroglobulin measures thyroid tissue, and if your thyroid is enlarged, it would make sense that you have a high level of thyroid tissue. I don't think it means anything much in your case.
