Lightbulb Opinions

I had my TSH checked and it was 4.69
Doctor ordered a free t4 and it was .8
She said I could choose to not medicate and have it rechecked in three months.
I have no real symptoms other than cold hands and dry, brittle hair.
Would you medicate with my levels?

Re: Opinions

Hello Welcome to Thyroid Board
I think you absolutely need to go on medication especially if/when you're hoping to have a baby. It's quite possible getting medication helps with the infertility issue too (I read about it in the other thread).

Re: Opinions

I agree with FinnMaid.
Infertility is often a "real" symptom of hypothyroidism. In your situation, I would not undergo the IVF process with levels like yours.
