Need some advice on thyroid ultrasound!
Hey all This is my first post in here.
I have multiple thyroid nodules measuring between 2mm-3cm. It was being detected a year back. FNAC suggested colloid goitre, no malignancy. Thyroid scan results show a Cold Nodule. I have got 2 ultrasound tests done till now. Results of which are posted below.
Ultrasound test 1 :
A. Cystic nodule at lower pole of left lobe measuring 3.2cm x 1:7cm with internal echoes and septations.
B. Cystic nodule in right lobe measuring 4mm
C. No intranodular flow noted.
D. Benign colloid nodules
Ultrasound test 2:
A. Left lobe shows predominating echogenic nodule with cystic changes measuring 3.3cm x 1.7cm x 1.4cm.
B. Multiple small cystic nodules in right lobe measuring 2-3 mm
C. Intranodular and perinodular flow noted on Color Doppler.
The gap between the 2 ultrasounds is almost 11 months.
I need advice regarding the above ultrasound findings. How does this intranodular flow impact the nodules. Is it an indication of malignancy?
Also, my thyroid hormone levels are within the range. However, I will be getting the latest thyroid test results tomorrow. I have yet not been on thyroxine or any other thyroid medication.
Looking forward for any advices and suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
