PT Neck Exercises Aggravating Neck

Hi There,

I began PT to work on my severe neck tightness. I was doing very mild exercises with bands and stretching. I remember feeling very week in my arms when trying to do some of them- lifting over head. Now my neck tension is so angry. : ( Should I continue? I really thought stretching and strengthening would help? Everything I do to try and get better, seems to aggravate it.

I am 3 weeks into my repo splint... No noticeable difference yet. However, my neck kills.

Has anyone felt like this after exercise? Maybe my neck tension is too bad right now to be trying exercises? SHould I stick with stretching only?

HELP

I know this was from a while back but did you find any relief?
I have been in PT with a muscle specialist for 6 weeks due to ridiculously tight neck and shoulder muscles. At one point it felt like a blow torch going up and down my neck and spine. The next morning I woke up and my feet and hands were numb and tingling. They said the tight muscles were impending nerve function.
After 6 weeks I can move my neck without pain about 90% of the time. The spasms up the sides of my neck and into the back of my head are much better.
She's going to start working on my TMD when she gets the order form my doctor.
