right side/pain - TMJ Disorder -TemporoMandibular Joint Message Board

I'm new to this TMJ board.
well i'm 22 and i always had bad headsches but nothing like this until recently.3 months ago i went to a dentist for an exam and he was poking around on my right lower molar tooth which needed to be retreated.well ever since then my right side of the head is killing me.It start from my upper teeth,goes into the jaw and my ear and my whole head hurts.I did fix the root canal retreatment but i'm still having the jaw and ear pain.could it be TMJ?should i go to a tmj doctor?

Yes, Yes, Yes, Go see a tmj doctor as soon as you can.. I wish I new earier that my headaches were from tmj and not something else.. It took me years of wasting money going to doctor to doctor trying to figure out what was causing my bad headaches..I am 23 so I know how unfair it is to be in pain all the time at a young age!

Now you may have to see a few doctors before you find a good one to help you with your problem I have gone to over 10 doctors for my tmj and hoping the one I saw last week will be the one to help me...it is a long journey that may never end with tmj....and a costly one I must say too...

I wish you the best of luck in getting out of pain...
